Coding Club was amazing last week! Children from Year 5 and 6 discovered programming extends far beyond the computer as they began to create programs for inventions they created from Lego, including footballers and goalies, moving frogs and race cars with sensors which stop when something moves in front of it.
Children from Year 5 and 6 spent an evening this week in Codex Club at Bolton Science and Technology Centre. There they experienced Scratch programming and 3D printing – they even used CorelDraw to design their own 3D keyrings!
They have been telling their classmates all about it and can’t wait to go again next week.
What an excellent opportunity!
