Well done to Alfie who wrote an informative leaflet about seaside holidays in the past.
Where do our visitors come from?
- Mrs Hobson (1)
Well done to Ocean, our writer of the week this week! Ocean wrote a fantastic information leaflet about seasides from the story.
A huge thank you to all the family members who came to watch the children perform their dance routines this morning! We are so proud of how hard they have worked to learn the different routines. We hope you enjoyed watching them!
Well done to our KS1 football team, who won the inter school competition held at Queensbridge this afternoon! We are extremely proud of you all!
Wow! Year 1 have had a fantastic day learning about seaside holidays from the past. We saw lots of items from the past, such as wool swimsuits, metal buckets and wooden spades. We were surprised to learn that the whole family would have to share one suitcase and people did not go abroad for their holidays. We all most enjoyed the Punch and Judy show but we promised not to copy Mr Punch’s behaviour!
Thank you so much to all the parents and family members who came along to watch the children perform their assembly this morning. We are so proud of how hard the children have worked to learn their lines and perform for you all. Well done Year 1 – you truly sparkled! Remember to follow your dreams.
Wishing you all a wonderful half term.
Mrs Cowell and the Year 1 Blue team
The children enjoyed celebrating the royal wedding this afternoon by eating scones with jam and cream and designing new wedding outfits for the happy couple – we had some very colourful creations!
We celebrated the wedding of Harry and Meghan by creating wedding dresses and suits and by having a royal tea party!
We ate scones, cakes and drank lemonade in the sunshine – it was wonderful!
We also watched some clips from the wedding which the children really enjoyed.
