We are having the best time using the spheros! The children are busy making all sorts of different algorithms using our ‘repeat’ and ‘loop’ vocabulary.
To link with our Wizard of Oz themed book week, Year 4 listened to the song ‘Follow the Yellow Brick Road’. We then worked with a partner to create our own walk up the Yellow Brick Road!
We had a fantastic time at Computing Club tonight making games in Scratch by writing algorithms.

The children have been working so hard on their projects. We are so proud of the work they have done at home. Thank you to all the parents who have supported them and helped them to create such amazing work. In our first lesson on the Vikings the children had some fantastic knowledge already from these projects!
We had a fantastic time on Wellbeing Day. We talked about how we can fill people’s buckets by being kind and positive.
We also made friendship bracelets, had a talk on the impact of mental health and finished with a special treat – pancakes!
We have had an amazing day learning about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings.
We learned about weapons, trading, how to make bread and how to make braids. We had a fantastic time!
Well done Izzy for being writer of the week this week. She did an amazing villains speech pretending to be Claudius from Hamlet.
There has been some amazing learning about the Romans going on at home. We have had model building, powerpoint presentations, drawing, painting and factsheets. We are so proud of the children. Have a look!
