In Year 5 we have been celebrating World Book Day by reading our book ‘Only One You’. As part of this we have created individual shape poetry about something we like. We have also painted pebbles to make a display celebrating the book and the fact that we are all unique.
In Year 5 we have used cocktail sticks and marshmallows to help create a structure that could withstand tremors as felt during an earthquake. We spoke about the flexibility needed and the different levels of earthquakes on the Richter scale.
