This afternoon we followed instructions to draw pumpkins 🎃 in our whiteboards. The children listened well and created their own unique pumpkins! Some children then chose to draw it again on paper so they could colour. They looked Fabulous!

Our worry worms
5 (2)

Today we read the story ‘The Worrysaurus’ by Rachael Bright as part of our mental health / mindfulness theme. We talked about what worries are and how they might make us feel as well as what we can do if we are worried about anything. The children know to tell someone and talk about their worries. We made cuddly worry worms to tell our worries to and the worms would help tell grown ups too so they can help. The children enjoyed this activity and loved their worms to take home. Well done everyone!

Please bring a sock to school on Monday.

bring a sock day

Monday is World Mental Health Day. So next week we will be engaging in well-being activities, thinking about the impact of kindness and talking about our worries.

We will be making our own worry worms that we can then use to tell our worries to. We would appreciate it if you could send a sock in with your child on Monday that they can use to make their own friendly worry worm.

Thank you for your support.

YRGreen gymnastics – jumps
0 (0)

We have continued our gymnastics theme in PE today and have started working on jumps. We know to bend our legs and use our arms.
After working on our basic jump, we did a straight (pencil) jump and a half turn jump. We then got the benches out and practiced a bunny hop.
Well done to everyone! A special congratulations to our super learner Hollie!

YRG gymnastics – balancing
0 (0)

Another fabulous PE lesson.
We went on a Dinosaur Discovery for our warm up and then we focussed on balancing.
We held each balance for five seconds and used different body parts. We challenged the children to create interesting body shapes and they certainly did. Well done everyone!
