We could not think of a better way to finish the week than with a game of rounders in the sun in PE!

Today, Year 5 have been exploring how Farnworth has changed over time as part of Geography unit Where We Live. We used maps to compare Farnworth today with Farnworth in the 1950s and in the 1890s! We also looked at the church which was once on our school site and how and why it has changed.

Well done to the Year 5 Green Super Learners this week!

What a fabulous and sunny afternoon competing against local schools in the annual end of year athletics competitions

Year 4 Green have had a great game of French snakes and ladders this morning using the vocabulary we have been learning about.

Y4B have worked so hard this week on their assessments. Today we have spent the morning making Father’s Day cards. We have been so lucky to receive some brand new books for our libraries and we have spent so time looking at them. We spent some of the morning reading these new books , and some of our personal favourites, on the playground. Whilst on the playground, we read the books with some children from the sparkle room.We have created our own book covers of our favourite books. To finish off the afternoon we have spent practising for sports day.
