Year 4 Green have had a great game of French snakes and ladders this morning using the vocabulary we have been learning about.

Y4B have worked so hard this week on their assessments. Today we have spent the morning making Father’s Day cards. We have been so lucky to receive some brand new books for our libraries and we have spent so time looking at them. We spent some of the morning reading these new books , and some of our personal favourites, on the playground. Whilst on the playground, we read the books with some children from the sparkle room.We have created our own book covers of our favourite books. To finish off the afternoon we have spent practising for sports day.

Thank you to the National Literacy Trust for our new books! We were so excited to open the box and see all the wonderful new books inside. We got comfy, chilled out and read some of them!

Well done to our amazing Sports Stars of the week for their amazing effort in our athletics lesson.

Can I politely remind all Year 4 Green children that as well as reading, practising spellings and times tables that some of their homework this half term is to watch Bolton Wanderers win the play off final on Sunday! Up the Whites!

Year 4Green have been getting ready for Wimbledon in our PE lessons and we went to the tennis courts for our last lesson.

Best trip ever! We have had such an amazing day learning all about the Romans at Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum. We saw live excavations, spoke to archaeologists, held artefacts that had only just been dug up after nearly 2000 years, learnt about the Roman army and life in a Roman settlement and so much more! It was so wonderful to see the children so excited and enthusiastic to learn about the past. What a day!
