Our ukulele lessons with Minshall music are really coming along, Year 4 are now at the stage of playing the tune “I’m yours” ready for recording next week. We really do have some amazing musicians in the class.
Wow! Another fantastic week in Sparkle! We have continued with our topic of ‘Ourselves’ and have done lots of activities connected to this. We have also been listening to our ‘Musician of the Month’ – Nina Simone. We loved listening to her unique voice and also pretended to play the piano just like her.
First lessons of Rocksteady! What a fantastic time the children had!
Today we learnt how to use different places on the Ukulele to make different sounds. We played C and Am in time with the music.
What a fantastic morning learning how to be in a rock band!
Today we enjoyed composing our own music by adding percussion to the poem ‘Rumble in the Jungle’. We had a great time using all the different instruments.
Our favourite part of music is when we get to become the composer!
Getting into the World Cup spirit. Our first Music lesson this half term on Trombones and already belting out “It’s Coming Home”.🎶🇬🇧

Today we performed ‘The Friendship Song’ using the glockenspiels too.
This term in music, Minshall music are teaching year 3 Blue how to play the trombone, the past couple of lessons they have been practicing how to play certain chords and how to hold it the correct way.
