4 Blue – French (9.9.2026)

Today, 4 Blue started their French lessons with Madame Harris. They learnt how we can work out the meanings of words by using ‘cognates’ – words which look and sound similar to one another. For example: family (English), famille (French), familie (German) etc. They had a great time working out the meanings of words in a range of languages.

Year 4 Green – PE

This term in PE, Mr Wakes is teaching netball, this afternoon they learnt some different techniques of passing, they started off with a chest pass, then into bounce passes. Year 4 also learnt some basic rules of netball and how you can’t run with the ball and how to pivot when they do have the ball.

4 Blue – Minshall Music (4/9/2026)

On Friday, 4 Blue had their first music lesson of the year with Minshall Music. During this lesson, they started their journey towards being able to play the Ukulele. They were brilliant in this first session.

Y3 Green: Leadership Development Workshop

Y3G started their Leadership Development Workshop today with Chris Reddy Bright Leaders. Y3 learned today about “ Leadership” and “ Initiative” and how these would help them to become leaders. Children made their name badges and learned how to introduce themselves to the people. They have prepared their leadership booklets for future as well.
