Year 4 Green – PE0 (0)
This term in PE we are learning all about a sport called Danish Longball which is a fast based bat and ball game similar to rounders or cricket with batters and fielders. In our first lesson we learnt how to throw over and underarm and how to catch the ball.

Some of our KS1 children competed against local schools in a multi-skills competition at Harper Green this afternoon! We are so proud of them all!

A sparkling day out at Bolton Wanderers!0 (0)
One of our lovely children from the Sparkle Room had a fantastic time at the Bolton Wanderers vs Stoke City match after winning our school season tickets!
It was a brilliant opportunity to experience the excitement of a live football match, cheer on the team and soak up the amazing atmosphere at the stadium. There was plenty of excitement as the game got underway, and it was a special day out to remember.
Although Bolton didn’t get the win this time, that certainly didn’t stop our little supporter from having a wonderful time! Sometimes, it’s not just about the result — it’s about the experience, making memories and enjoying the moment. 💙🤍
We’re so pleased that our season ticket prize gave one of our Sparkle Room children the chance to enjoy such a special experience. We hope it’s the first of many exciting football adventures!

Thank you Mr Wakes!0 (0)
Mr Wakes gave us an impromptu PE lesson yesterday when he referee’d a tug ‘o’ war competition! Unfortunately, everyone in the Sparkle Room were all too busy to get photographic evidence but Mrs Smith assures us that her team (‘Team Teddy Bear!’) won fair and square! Thanks again Mr Wakes!

Year 4 Green PE0 (0)
Year 4’s netball skills are really progressing and we have now moved onto playing some matches. Their passing and shooting techniques have really improved over the past couple of weeks and year 4 have shown their competitive streaks when playing against each other.

Year 1 Green – jumping and bouncing0 (0)
Another sunny PE lesson!
the children worked on jumping today, ensuring they landed on two feet. We played lots of games that helped us to practice our jumps and we finished off with a game where the children bounced the ball to one another.
