Year3 Green: Leadership Development Workshop
0 (0)

This afternoon Y3G had their leadership development workshop with Chris Reddy. We talked about how we all can be shepherds (leaders) and sheep ( followers) at different points and even we switch our roles during a same day. Then we played a game called “secret leaders” where we have a secret leader and a leader detective. Children need to follow the actions from the secret leader and secret detective needs to look for clues and detect the secret leader. We took turns and everyone in the class got a chance to be a leader and a follower during the game.

Year 3 visited a local Hindu temple to learn about how many Hindus worship in the community. We learned about the different variations of Hinduism and the ways in which they are unified by common beliefs. The children were incredibly respectful and asked and answered lots of insightful questions- we are really proud of the way they represented our school within the community.

This afternoon Y3G had their leadership development workshop with Chris Reddy. We talked about that everyone is a leader in the classroom, in the life. Anyone can lead by making positive choices, being kind and including others. A great leader knows how to listen, share ideas and let others take turns. We discussed the differences between being a shepherd( who is in charge and walk his own path) and being a sheep ( where you just follow the leaders) . Then we discussed in the class that who is a leader ( shepherd) and why? We engaged with some interactive activities exemplifying strong leadership skills.
Well done year 3 Green for super listening!
