Year 4 Green trip to Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum
5 (2)

Best trip ever! We have had such an amazing day learning all about the Romans at Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum. We saw live excavations, spoke to archaeologists, held artefacts that had only just been dug up after nearly 2000 years, learnt about the Roman army and life in a Roman settlement and so much more! It was so wonderful to see the children so excited and enthusiastic to learn about the past. What a day!

Year 4 Green World Book Day
5 (3)

Year 4 Green have had a fantastic World Book Day! We started the day with creating some art work as part of the Growing Farnworth’s Future project. We then spent a lot of the day immersed in books. We read outside in the sun, created our own heroes and villains and then used them to create our own comic books/graphic novels. The children all looked amazing in their outfits and we even had a reading from Shakespeare’s Julius Caeser!

Today was our final session of the Hummingbird Project. We have spent a long time now thinking about our happiness and what we can do to help ourselves feel happy. We have taken part in a lot of mindfulness activities to help us think about our emotions.
