Year 4 Green have been loving football in PE so far this half term.

Firstly we started by playing emotion bingo to recognise what each feeling actually meant. We then discussed that everybody has a different opinion on what each colour would represent if it was a feeling. We then read the ‘colour thief’ and discussed how different things make people happy. We shared how we where at our happiest when ‘going outdoors with family and friends’ ‘eating ice cream’ and ‘playing on our Xbox’. We discussed what mental health was and how sometimes we might have problems with our own mental health. We came up with a list of things we could do if we had sad feelings.

We enjoyed taking a trip to the languages cafe and trying some different foods. We created positive tokens using different languages and looked at why places like Italy are so popular.

Y4B have been practising their balance in PE.

Big smiles from the whole of Y4.

We have had a busy week in Y4 this week.
In PE we have been busy practicing for sports day, whilst also learning the skills needed for rounders. This week has been science and nature week, we have been creating circuits and learning how to make sure it works correctly and safely. In English we have been writing our own poems about fair trade and how they support farmers and their businesses. To finish off our hardworking week, we celebrated the sunny weekend with ice lollies.

We had a great time at Tatton park. We became Anglo Saxons and vikings for the day. We created our own flour so that we could make bread. We made our own bracelets to trade and trained as a Viking.
We had an amazing day celebrating 80 years of VE Day. We had a lovely time decorating our own Union Jack flags. We wrote a letter about the celebrations they would have had 80 years ago.
