This half term the children will be completing tasks inspired by Nancy Wake (White Mouse) who was a Special Operations Executive during WW2.

Today’s Commando Joe’s session involved a lot of team work and a little ‘guile’, using tactics to successfully steal cones from opposing teams without being caught. It was cold, but the children were excellent! Well done!

This week, the children in 6 Green have been learning about Healthy Minds. They have discussed what is meant by a ‘healthy mind’ and ways in which we can try to achieve this. They also explored ‘personality islands’, looking at how our life experiences and emotions link together to help form aspects of our overall personalities. Finally, they looked at self-worth and belief, identifying their strengths and things that they would like to further develop about themselves.

What a busy week for year 6 blue. All the children have been swimming and have made lots of progress within their individual groups. They had fun in French with Madam Harris playing games to help embed their knowledge of food items. Thursday afternoon was Commando Joe time, the challenge this week was creating ways to transport water in paper cups this definitely tested their determination and resilience.

Today, 6 Green’s worship centred around mental health as a part of Mental Health Awareness Week. We discussed what good and bad mental health is and how this can affect people with their actions and choices. We look forward to exploring this further throughout the week.

Today in French with Madame Harris, 6G continued to develop their understanding of French, learning about articles linked to plural and singular items of food. I will very impressed with their efforts! Mr Simmons.
