This morning, year 3 have been working very hard in their weekly write lesson, they have been planning writing a diary entry based on an adventurer called Tadeo Jones.
They are then going to be writing their diary entry based on them being the adventurer using different sentence styles.
This week in science, Y3G learn about benefits and harmful effects of sun. The sun is essential for life on Earth providing heat, light and energy. While it helps us grow food and stay healthy, it also emits ultraviolet radiation that can be dangerous if we are not careful. Y3G made posters on how to protect ourselves from sun.
This term in music, Minshall music are teaching year 3 Blue how to play the trombone, the past couple of lessons they have been practicing how to play certain chords and how to hold it the correct way.
Y3G in their music lesson learned about glockenspiel, how to hold the mallets between the thumb and index finger and strike the centre for the best sound. We also learned how to identify and play specific notes and copying rhythm.
Y3G in their P.E lesson today develop spatial awareness and coordination while jumping over bean bags and in hoops. They learn to develop an understanding of a cartwheel motion.

We know that how much light and object lets through will affect how well we can see through it. We identified and classified different materials. We discussed the benefits and possible uses of each.
