Year 5 art gallery

We have had so much fun this term designing and making cupcake boxes. We even baked a delicious cupcake to put inside!

This term we will be designing and making a cupcake box and a cupcake to go inside. Today we talked about the different materials we could use and which would be most suitable. We also looked at various items of packaging and discussed which 3D shapes would work best. We then practised our scissor skills by cutting along different lines making sure we followed the lines. We know how important it will be to cut out the net very carefully along the straight lines so we can make our boxes neatly.

We used paint to create the sunset and mixed red and yellow to make orange. We then cut out the silhouettes of the animals and stuck them on the sunset. We are very impressed with how they turned out!
