This morning, Year 3 took a trip to Kenyon Hall farm to learn about how plants are grown. We saw many different fruit plants ranging from blackberry, gooseberry, raspberry and strawberry plants, as well as apple trees and different vegetables plants, most of which are grown to make homemade produce in the farm shop.
The children were also able to pick their own punnet of strawberries to bring home.
The children were amazing and listened respectfully and were an absolute credit to St Peter’s.

Year 3 visited a local Hindu temple to learn about how many Hindus worship in the community. We learned about the different variations of Hinduism and the ways in which they are unified by common beliefs. The children were incredibly respectful and asked and answered lots of insightful questions- we are really proud of the way they represented our school within the community.

This morning in our session with Chris Reddy- we discussed the differences between being a sheep (where you just follow the leaders) and a shepherd (walk your own path) which is all part of being a leader.
We talked about who was a leader in class and why. Some examples that Chris made was about who was in control of their morning routines, getting dressed, eating breakfast, packing your school bag and how are they leaders in school – helping others, showing kindness, working together.
