Ms Brooks This morning, Year 3 Blue had a visit from Mike from Project Chameleon, who is going to deliver a program over the next few weeks about different aspects of law and crime and to help the children make positive choices.
Today Mike spoke to the children about the features of a good citizen and the advantages and disadvantages of working in the Police Force.
A lot of fun was had this morning when Rock Kidz came into school for a Christmas party with the St Peters children. Year 3 had a Rock Kidz version of pass the parcel, they sang the rock version of 12 days of Christmas, plus many more fun activities.
Today Year 3 Blue went back in time to the Stone Age era where they had to work in groups to hunt the Woolly Mammoth, the really got into character.
As part of our Topic for Autumn Term – Year 3 got to see and feel some Stone Age Artefacts, ranging from Flint Axes, bowls, shoes and many other interesting items.
This week, Year 3 had a visit from the Oral Health Team to discuss how to look after their teeth properly and general oral hygiene. They even got to brush their teeth in class, using their new toothbrushes and toothpaste which was given to them.
Today Madame Harris provided a fantastic French Christmas workshop where she discussed how the French celebrated Christmas and how it was different to how other countries celebrate.
Year 3 got to do lots of different activities exploring all of the French traditions, the favourite one was decorating (and eating) a gingerbread representing St Nicholas.
Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed all of the different tasks and learning all about the French traditions.
On Friday – all of the classes in school had a Christmas party afternoon to celebrate us winning The Bolton Primary school of the year award, much fun was had. Year 3 blue played pin the nose on the reindeer and musical statues. They also has some lovely treats to snack on.
Year 3 Blue had an amazing time at Eureka – learning about all sorts of interesting things, including teeth, eyes, the human body, a fun time was had by all.
The children have made such a fantastic effort, they all look amazing, we have got footballers, swimmers, doctors, vets, and many more.
