Ms Brooks Today Year 3 have written a diary entry based on them being a pirate girl called Molly from a story we have been reading this week.
This afternoon, they read their diary entry’s to a partner in class.
This afternoon in PE we practiced our jumping skills to help us to be able to do long jump the correct way.
We really tried our hardest to get our technique right and some if us jumped some great lengths.
This morning in our English lesson and as part of poetry week, year 3 have been planning ideas for writing by making up rhyming words to go towards their pirate poem they will be writing on Thursday.
This term we have music lessons with Minshall music and we are learning chords using the Ukuleles.
This morning, year 3 blue learnt to write similes in preparation for their pirate writing piece next week.
They came up with some amazing adjectives as well.
This afternoon in our PHSE lesson we talked about respecting differences and how each of us are unique in our own way.
Year 3 played a game of Human bingo and went round the class to see who had Blue eyes, who wears glasses who is left handed etc.
Today in our first PHSE lesson for the year we learnt all about trust and designed a comic strip story about it.
This morning in English year 3 learnt how to use speech punctuation accurately, this will help towards their slow write they are doing about the fable The Lion and the Mouse.
This term in computing we are learning all about programming, using an app called scratch, where we are changing different Sprites and moving them to different positions. It will start to get more challenging as the weeks progress.
