We would like to say a massive thank you and well done to these children for having 100% attendance, what an amazing achievement.

This morning was our last Hummingbird project led by Ian. In today’s session; we discussed our aspirations for the future and how we can achieve these.
We talked about what has gone well over the past couple of weeks.
Year 3 also drew posters describing The Hummingbird Project.

what an amazing turnout of parents we had to support their children by watching them sing beautifully. They all sang amazing, we hope you enjoyed it.

The children look amazing in their Christmas jumpers, we would also like to say a big thank you for your kind donations of chocolate.

Y3G had a wonderful start of their music lessons with Minshall Music. They learned how to use ‘ BoomWhackers’. BoomWhackers produce musical tones when struck together on the floor. They have a ‘sweet spot’ that is a few inches from the end of the tube that gives the best tones. Children played several Christmas Tunes with fun-play videos.

This week Y3G focused on, ‘What makes you Strong’ in their Hummingbird Project workshop. We learned that it is really helpful to know what your own unique character strengths are so you can use them to help you. We can use our character strengths to help ourselves feel better when we have a tricky situation in our lives. Y3G also looked at the different strength cards and colour 5 cards that show their top 5 strenths.

This morning, KS2 were treated to a trip to the theatre to watch Beauty and the Beast, the children were amazing throughout the production and were also treated to an ice cream during the interval.

Year 3 Blue had a session with Chris Reddy from the Bright Leaders.
Their focus was to use their own initiative and leadership skills.
The children worked in pairs, learning to take turns and showing the importance of playing their own part to complete their task within a time scale, also to consider the ideas of others.
