Well done to our writer of the week and our reading champion!

Today Year 1 took part in an art project linked to Growing Farnworth’s Future. They discussed their aspirations for the future and wrote their goal for the future on leaves. They then decorated the leaves in yellow and green. The artwork will be displayed at the new Farnworth Library on 14th March(further information to follow about this).

Wow! Year 1 Green look amazing for World Book Day!

Today we learnt about the life cycle of an earth worm. We sequenced the cycle and then created the worm’s life cycle using 2Aimate on Purple Mash.

We made the most of the sunshine this afternoon as part of our nature week. We went for a walk to spot signs of spring. Then as a treat we went on the park! Look at all these smiling faces.

In English we read What the Worm Saw and then made predictions about what he would see in the garden. Then in the afternoon we planted sunflower seeds 🌻 and painted flower gardens!

We are looking forward to welcoming parents for our pop in on Friday!

Well done to our reading champion who has been reading lots at home and impressing Mrs Cowell and Miss Belk with his reading in school too!

It’s one of those weeks where we couldn’t just pick one writer of the week. So congratulations to both writers of the week who have produced some fantastic writing in English and RE!
