Mrs Cowell Today we introduced our new text in English. We sued google maps to find the setting, Kenya in Africa, before reading the story. Then the children enjoyed acting out the story which helped them to sequence the story later on.
Year 1 have chosen to complete a 3K memory walk to raise money for our class charity Alzheimer’s Society. Donations would be very much appreciated and would really spur the children on to complete this challenge.

What a wonderful morning year 1 had learning about why Christians celebrate Easter with Wiggle! The children then enjoyed making Easter cards to take home for their family.

What a fruity afternoon we have had in Year 1.
We have tasted different fruits in DT this afternoon so that we know which fruits we want to put in our fruit salads, which we will be designing next week. Pineapple was a big favourite and the limes caused some interesting facial expressions!
