As part of our Get Comfy and Read day the children were surprised with a special delivery of new books! They loved exploring these new books together.
Today we read a very special book, Barney Bee’s Colourful Adventure. This book was written by Miss Westhead’s Mum.
The children loved listening to the story so much that afterwards they created their own pages for the book! The children were very creative and Miss Westhead loved their ideas.
Well done to our Reading Champion who reads at home every day!
What a fun morning we have had so far!
Today we learnt about what Jewish people believe about being special and unique to God. We discussed the stories and readings that can be found inside the Torrah scroll and then we read Psalm 8. We then discussed what we thought this taught Jewish people about how much God loves them. We then looked at some paintings that represent the Psalms that are displayed at the Museum of the Psalms in Jerusalem. We then created our own artistic representations of Psalm 8.
We have had an amazing day on the beach! The children have built sandcastles, been on a miniature railway and had ice cream. We have lots of fun and the children have all behaved impeccably.
Year 1 Green have loved starting to make their ice cream vans this afternoon! We can’t wait to add wheels next week! 🍦
