Today we have enjoyed our get comfy and read day in school. Reception have had a fantastic day unwrapping our brand new class books and reading some fantastic stories. What a lovely day, well done reception!

This week reception have been exploring shapes and rotations. They have done some amazing learning and retrieved the properties of 2D shapes. Well done reception!

This week reception have been learning all about the dentist. We have learned about how to look after our teeth, when to clean them and how long for. We have explored healthy eating and what healthy habits are good for our teeth.

Reception had a very important visitor this afternoon! Paramedic Pete came to reception to share all about what life is like as a paramedic. Super listening reception!

This term reception have started to learn their new topic ‘People who help us’ and this week have been learning about the role of doctors, nurses and paramedics. We had lots of fun dressing up as these professions and role playing different scenarios to embed our learning.

Reception Green had the most wonderful trip to Smithills Farm today! We had lots of fun riding a donkey, feeding the animals and we even got a tractor ride! Reception made lots of amazing memories and their behaviour was absolutely brilliant. Well done reception!

Reception have had an amazing week retrieving number bonds to 5! We have played lots of games to help us automatically retrieve each number bonds.

Reception have been continuing their learning about measuring this week but this week we have explored capacity! We used lots of wonderful vocabulary to explain our learning of this.

This week we have been learning about Jack and the Beanstalk. We used our ICT skills and wonderful imaginations to draw a picture of what we think is at the top of the beanstalk.
