Year 4 Blue loved taking part in #GetActiveWeek with Tanzii TV! It was a fantastic way to start our learning this week!

As part of Aspirations Week, our school have been researching famous Boltonians who have achieved wonderful things and inspire us. Year 4 have been learning about Jason Kenny and how he became a 7 time Olympic Gold medallist. He has very kindly sent us a message telling the skills he needed and he has been able to hit the heights he has in his career-
Thank you to Richard from Computerxplorers- he told us all about his career and what inspired him to do the job that he does as part of Aspirations Week. He also taught us how to program Edison robots to move, race and even sumo wrestle! These are skills we may use if we choose to pursue many different careers in the future. Thank you for coming to see us Richard- we had a wonderful time learning lots of new things!

Year 4 took part in the Be a Hero session with the Lily Jo Project. We talked about our mental health and what we can do to be Mental Health Heroes. We absolutely loved getting up and having a dance to the amazing songs too! Thank you!

Thank you to Chris from Bright Leaders. The children loved their workshop session today as we talked about the small steps needed to achieve our ambitions. Remember to think big and act small!

Year 4 have started their Aspirations Week with a visit from Celia from Leigh Miners Rugby League Club. She told us all about her career playing in the Women’s Super League and coaching girl’s rugby. The children were fascinated by her stories of playing rugby league and inspired by her coaching work. Thank you Celia!

Year 4 Blue have started their African drumming lessons again this half term and are absolutely loving them!
Year 4 Blue are loving their football lessons in PE with Rees Sports this half term!

Well done to Year 4 Blue for their amazing projects. We have some beautiful models, amazing fact files, informative presentations and even an advert for a Roman house!

We could not think of a better way to start the new school year than with a Now Press Play experience! We started to learn about our new topic all about the Romans and what they did in Britain. Year 4 Blue loved taking part in a fierce battle with the Iceni Tribe!
