Sparkle room have gotten into the football fever today. They loved taking part and going on the field, taking part in a penalty shoot out against Mrs Whitehead!

This week, we have been learning all about the police, including investigating crime scenes and looking at finger prints.

The children were absolutely amazing at Sports Day, joining in with their year group peers and trying so hard. We couldn’t have been prouder <3

This week has been a busy one in the Sparkle room! We have been enjoying obstacle courses, practising our prepositional language, under, above and around. In Maths we have been making and finding doubles. We have also been making key rings to sell for our class charity next week and enjoying messing play making ice creams.

In the Sparkle Room, we have continued learning about people who help us, this week: Dentists!

We have been learning all about what dentists do and what we might see at the dentist. The children have also been thinking about how to keep their teeth clean and healthy with lots of opportunities for sensory play.

In Maths, we have been focussing on making the number 10 in different ways.

Welcome back for our last half term of the year. This week we have been learning all about Doctors. We have been looking after the animals in the animal hospital and learning about x-rays and skeletons. In Maths, we have been practising one more and one less. Well done Sparkle Room!

This week we have been leaning about sunflowers and bees. We have enjoyed painting giant sunflower pictures, working on our positional language with the beebots and learning the numbers 9 and 10 in maths. Well done Sparkle Room!

This week, we have been learning all about minibeasts! We have been matching minibeasts with their habitats, making our own minibeasts and going on a minibeast hunt!

This week in the Sparkle Room we have been learning about Jack and the Beanstalk/ We have been exploring threading, different textures and the parts of a plant. The children have loved taking part in role play, especially saying ‘Fee Fi Fo Fum!’ In Maths, we have been comparing length, discussing long, tall and short.

What a super week to start the Summer term in the Sparkle room! We have been learning about plants this week. We have planted some sunflowers and can’t wait to watch them grow. We have spent lots of time outside, even for Wiggle Worship!
