Sparkle Room

This week, we have been learning all about minibeasts! We have been matching minibeasts with their habitats, making our own minibeasts and going on a minibeast hunt!

This week in the Sparkle Room we have been learning about Jack and the Beanstalk/ We have been exploring threading, different textures and the parts of a plant. The children have loved taking part in role play, especially saying ‘Fee Fi Fo Fum!’ In Maths, we have been comparing length, discussing long, tall and short.

Another super week of learning! Well done Sparkle room!

What a super week to start the Summer term in the Sparkle room! We have been learning about plants this week. We have planted some sunflowers and can’t wait to watch them grow. We have spent lots of time outside, even for Wiggle Worship!

Another super week of learning! This week our focus has been all about Easter, including attending the Easter disco! It was lovely to see all the children dancing and then enjoying their hotdogs and a drink. In Maths we have been learning about doubling linked to our previous learning about butterflies. Well done Sparkle Room and have a lovely Easter break! We can’t wait to see you all again in the Summer term.

This week, we have been learning all about the life cycle of a frog. We have been enjoying messy play and learning about odd and even numbers in maths. We have been painting Easter eggs and learning to take turns in games.

Spring is in the air this week in the Sparkle Room! Lots of wonderful learning has been done this week learning all about the life cycle of ducks! In Maths we have been focusing on 2D and 3D shapes.

Another week of super learning in the Sparkle room, continuing to settle in our new space and keep exploring the provision. We have made Mother’s day cards and have been learning the story of the Ugly Duckling. In Maths, we have been focussing on one less. Well done Sparkle room!

What a super week of learning in the Sparkle room! Our theme this week has been The Hungry Caterpillar. We loved dressing up for World Book day too and have enjoyed lots of creative and learning activities.
