0 (0)

Today, after a two week break, the children returned to learning how to play chords on their ukuleles. Not only did they play a wide range of chords successfully, but they also once again started to compose their own, using a combination of different strings and frets. An excellent job 6 Green!

This afternoon, seven incredible year 5 and 6 girls took part in a netball competition, winning all three of their games which took them to the final.

These girls showed determination and strength, along with amazing teamwork, playing with smiles on their faces.

They continued to push with everything they had in the final, but it wasn’t meant to be this time, but they came second over all which is fantastic.

St Peter’s is so proud of their amazing achievements. Well done to you all.

This week, 6 Green continued to learn how to play the Ukulele, practicing previous songs, requiring them to change strings and use frets. They then began to develop their own chords in order to create their own pieces of music. They have made so much progress and their own compositions were fantastic! Some even wrote lyrics too!

6 Green Science: Pulse Rates Experiment (15.10.25)
0 (0)

6 Green investigated how exercise affects their pulse rate (number of heart beats per minute). To do this, they worked incredibly hard at doing literally nothing, before measuring their resting pulse rate. They then ran on the spot as fast as they could for a minute, before measuring their pulse rate again. They then measured it a further twice, looking at their recovery rates.
