On Thursday, Year 3 spent a lovely morning at Moses Gate country park as part of Eco week.
They were met by some park volunteers who helped us do some conservation work around the park.
Year 3 split into teams to do lots of amazing activities, including litter picking where we managed to fill several bags of litter with plastic bottles and cans, pond dipping and making bird feeders using mashed bananas and oats and dried fruit, these were distributed on the fences for the birds to enjoy. They even had a chance to hold some Newts.
The children were very tired after their walk back to school, but were proud that they were able to support their local park and help the environment.
