Y6 are learning about the heart and its structure in their science lessons. To help them to understand this more fully and to make it ‘real’, we looked at (and held) dissected hearts in class. We successfully identified the four main chambers, alongside the aorta and pulmonary arteries and veins. The children pulled a few faces, but had lots of laughs and giggles whilst exploring the lamb’s hearts.
