S Worthington We celebrated in class by dressing as our favourite characters from books. We engaged in some “book talk” where we shared our favourite story and explained why we like it so much. We also entered the Blue Peter Badge competition, created mash ups of stories and some children read with children in Year 1 and Year 2.
We have had some fantastic projects, some great models and lots of interesting fact files on Victorian inventors and inventions.
The children had a fantastic morning visiting St John’s Church learning about the different parts of the Easter story.
The children learned lots of really useful information on how to keep themselves safe while out and about on the roads.
The children and their parents/guardians had lots of fun at the parent pop in yesterday. They had a mini French lesson with Madam Harris and even got to play French Bingo!
The children have been developing their oral fluency skills by reading a extract of their spooky stories which they have been working on this half term.
Some of our Year 5 had an exciting and exhausting Hip Hop dance workshop at Our Lady of Lourdes. They all had great fun!
Mrs Nawaz from the Healthy Families Team – gave the class a very informative workshop to understand mental health, where to obtain support and how we can keep our minds healthy.
Year 5 took part in a STEM workshop this morning. The children had lots of fun looking at different types of energy.
Year 5 braved the weather and walked to Moses Gate Country Park, to look at human and physical geography. They looked at the confluence, canal and weir.
