Yesterday, year 3 blue, attended an ICT workshop at Smithills high school.
The children paired up to make different robots using Lego and motor pieces, they also used an iPad to for programming to make their robots move and change colour and to add sound.
The children were amazing and really enjoyed their day.
This morning in our English lesson, we have been writing a persuasive letter with regards to the use of Palm oil and how deforestation is destroying parts of the rainforest which is causing much harm to the animals. We have been using some amazing vocabulary in the hope that sustainably sourced palm oil can be used instead.
To celebrate National Poetry Day today, we made some twinkly star wands which we magically waved whilst we recited the poem ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star’ 🌟🫛🐛
We enjoyed taking a trip to the languages cafe and trying some different foods. We created positive tokens using different languages and looked at why places like Italy are so popular.
Today, Year 1 learned about our emotions and how to make our friends feel better when they’re sad!
