We have learnt about Switzerland, Monaco and Belgium today as they are all French speaking countries!

As part of French day – we have been researching French speaking countries and this morning – year 3 made a postcard to send all the way from Switzerland, they also tasted some swiss chocolate – along with some English chocolate and when it came to voting the majority of the classes favourite was the swiss chocolate as you can tell from their faces.

KS1 have been learning about different countries that speak French! In year 1 Green classroom we learnt about Belgium. We all wanted to try some Belgian chocolate now.

Today the children had fun learning how to ask ‘What is your name?’ and ‘How are you?’ in French. They enjoyed talking to different partners.

Today we had fun celebrating European day. We visited Spain, Italy, France and The Netherlands. The children tasted food, completed artwork and sang songs. They all had a fantastic day!

What a fabulous day we have had exploring the French language, Spanish dancing, Dutch art and Italian food!
