Musical Experiences

We really enjoyed our first Ukulele lesson with Mrs Lee and can’t wait to learn more next week!

We have been having fun in music this week using the percussion instruments. We learned how to play the instruments and how to stop and start on signal.

Today we learnt to play three different notes for the instrumental of our music song “Round and Round” 🎶 🎵

We looked at some untuned instruments today and used them to to play along with the song we are learning – Zootime!

This half term Minshall music are with year 3 teaching them Samba – using the Surdos, Ganzas, A Go Go bell and the Tamborin musical instruments.

This afternoon each group practiced playing a different rhythm with each of these instruments.

Today we introduced a call and response to our Samba song! We can’t wait to perform it next week!

This half term – Year 3 have been learning a song called ‘We are going around the world today’ and learning about different styles of music from different countries like Spain, Italy and Egypt.

We have discussed the various musical instruments used in the song and also the tempo, pitch, pulse and dynamics.
