Year 5 26-27

Well done to those children with 100% attendance for this term!

What a fantastic afternoon of hockey in the soon followed by our samba lessons with Minshall Music!

Year 4 shared their homemade pasta with their adults and competed against their adults in an MTC .

Year 4 Green have had a fantastic World Book Day! We started the day with creating some art work as part of the Growing Farnworth’s Future project. We then spent a lot of the day immersed in books. We read outside in the sun, created our own heroes and villains and then used them to create our own comic books/graphic novels. The children all looked amazing in their outfits and we even had a reading from Shakespeare’s Julius Caeser!

Year 4 had a great time building moveable Lego frogs last week. They created their own frogs and programmed them to move using an ipad.

Year 4 blue have celebrated World Book day by bringing stories to life! The children have designed fantastic artwork for Farnworth’s art exhibition and created their own brilliant comic book strips !

We have been looking at solid, liquid and gasses. We created are own mixture that was both solid and a liquid.

This morning, Global Policing came into to explain our Invacuation procedures, they discussed the difference between evacuation and Invacuation and what to do if there was a potential risk on the playground.

Whilst this is extremely rare our main priority is to keep all the children safe and calm.

We saw some fantastic competition recently in our netball competition. Year 4 Green have been loving netball this half term and they applied everything they have learnt into some competitive matches. Every child rose to the challenge and there were some amazing skills on display.
